Sewing Patterns
Loes Hinse (pronounced Loos Hins-ah) studied fashion design in Europe, where she developed a sense of style in the ready-to-wear industry that is captured in her timeless but modern designs. With her patterns, she reveals techniques and shortcuts to successful sewing that are used throughout the fashion industry.
Loes' patterns are based on the wide variety of clothing designs for her boutique in Carmel By The Sea, California. Her designs reflect soft feminine shapes with simple lines that are easy to mix and match. Because of this concept, the patterns can be made in a variety of fabrics to suit the individual preferences of her customers. Loes offers a pattern line with extended sizes
(XXS-XXL) that work for women with varied needs. Her patterns are designed to be flattering to most body types.
ALL PATTERNS REDUCED TO HALF PRICE
View A: slightly pegged long skirt with front vent and back darts. Elastic waist. View B: long double layered skirt with four seams and four slits. Back darts and elastic waist. View C: slightly pegged 26" skirt with darts and elastic waist. All views hip ease is 1".
Suggested fabrics: View A & C: lightweight tweeds, wool, rayon, microfiber, velvet, gabardine, drapey linen and double knits. View B: lightweight rayon, microfiber, silk, chiffon, lace, velvet, cut velvet, and fine knits. Lining of any choice. This skirt can be made in a single layer, using fabrics from view A & C. #5302 City Dress
Drop waist dress with pleated skirt. View A has a plain front with round neck. View B has a tucked v-neck front. Two sleeve lengths. Recommended fabrics: fine knits, jersey, rayon, silk, raw silk, lightweight wool, velvet, stretch velvet, burnout velvet, chiffon, linen, lace, rayon blends, and microfiber. Lined handbag with inside pocket and magnetic or snap closure. Suggested fabrics: heavy weight - brocades, velvet, chenille, quilted, felted wool and upholstery fabrics. Notions: 1 5/8 yd. of 22" wide interfacing; 20" of boning with casing. View A - 2 handles measuring approx. 9 1/2" at bottom outside and 6" at bottom inside. Adaptation for smaller handles given in sewing instructions. 1 snap or magnetic closure. View B - 3 snaps or magnetic closures.
